“And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.” [Judges 6:13]
“Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.” [John 11:39]
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” [Romans 8:31]
“Gideon knowed what he was talking about. He said, "Then, sir, if God is with us, where's all of His mighty miracles? That prophet told us that He was a God that brought us up out of Egypt. He smote the land, He delivered them. He's a God of deliverance. And if He ever was God, He's still God." I say the same thing tonight. If He ever was God, He has to always remain God. If He ever was all--the Almighty, He's still the Almighty. Certainly He is. The Bible said, "He's the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever." “[62-0124 Have Not I Sent Thee, Phoenix AZ]
Gideon certainly was a Scriptural man. When the Angel of the Lord said to him... And if you notice, it wasn't the Angel of the Lord here. It said, "And the Lord," capital L-O-R-D. It was not an Angel. It was God. It was a--a theophany in a man, in the form of God, like appeared to Abraham back in the wilderness, and looked like a man. So therefore, being a Messenger, He was the Angel of the Lord. And He appeared to him. And He said, "Thou mighty man of valor," said He's going to take him, and deliver Israel by him.” [61-1231e If God Be With Us Then Where Is All The Miracles, Jeffersonville IN]
“And Gideon asked that question. What a Scriptural man that was. That's the kind of man that God comes to, somebody who knows. Gideon said, "If God is with us, if You are the Messenger, then where is the miracles that the prophet told us about?" He knowed everywhere God went, His miracles followed Him. He knowed that wherever God would be, miracles would be there. And how can you expect God today to work in amongst people who doesn't even believe in miracles? How can it be? And He called him a mighty man of valor. Said, "Now, by this, you're going to deliver Israel." Now, that looked like a man setting there, and it was a Man. And he looked at Him, and he said, "Nay, my Lord, if God is with us, then why is all this trouble upon us? And where is the miracles that we're told about? Where is the things that God used to do?" “[61-1231e If God Be With Us Then Where Is All The Miracles, Jeffersonville IN]
“Now, God doesn't do miracles just to say, "See, I'm God." God does a miracle for an understanding. See?  God does it for a purpose. And did you notice the reading of the Psalms here in this 7th verse? I think it's so beautiful; I want to read it over again. Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt;... (see, they didn't understand it)... they remembered not the multitude of thy mercies; but provoked him at the sea, even... the Red sea. Nevertheless he saved them for his name's sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known. See, they did not understand why that God, down in Egypt, performed these miracles. He was trying to show them His mercies. He was trying to get them to understand that He was God in their midst. I love that.” [61-0723E God Being Misunderstood, Jeffersonville IN]
Martha at the grave, she had met the Word of God. She believed It. Before she could see the miracle of God, she had to believe the Word of God and act upon It. She said, "Lord, if you would've been here, my brother had not died." He said, "Martha, I am the Resurrection and Life. He that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. And whosoever liveth and believeth in Me, shall never die. Believest thou this?" She said, "Yea, Lord." There you are: acting. "I believe." "What do you believe, Martha?" "That Thou art the Christ that was to come into the world." Said, "Where you buried him?" Got down there at the grave, and there He was standing there. (Said, "I want to see if she really believes that I am the Word.") Said, "Take away the stone." She went to acting on the Word. She had to to see death turned to life. And the only way you'll ever be able to see death turned to life, is take His Word and act upon It. If you're a sinner, take His Word and act upon It, then you'll see the miracle of God. You become a miracle of God. If you're sick, take the Word of God. Doctor says, "You're going to die." Take the Word of God and act upon It, that'll bring new life.[61-1231, If God Be With Us Then Where Is All The Miracles, Jeffersonville IN
“If we could only realize that He is here with us, the same yesterday, today, and forever. "Lo, I am with you always. I'll never leave you, never forsake you. I'm with you to the end of the world," 24th chapter. "I'll never leave you," again He said. Oh! Again, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." I was just looking at the Scriptures I had wrote down here concerning it. How can we be sure? By His proven Word. He is now waiting for you to call Him on the scene, to be proved, so let us go and awake Christ in our lives. How do you awake Christ? By believing His Word. Faith brings Him on the scene. That's what brings Him on the scene, faith. Then, call on Him to confirm His Word. And don't doubt, in fear; don't do that. Just believe Him as It is written, and let it be done, and God will prove to you that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. We worship an invisible God.” [63-0804E, Calling Jesus On The Scene, Marigold Center, Chicago, IL]
“And the only thing you want to do to see miracles today, if you want to see the miracle of God, just move all your doubt away. Move all your creeds away, move all your denominationals away, and there the Son's automatically shining. It's a Commandment of God, for It said, "He is the same yesterday, today, and forever." So, as long as He's to be there forever, He's there. No question about it, He's there. Where is the miracles? What's hindering the miracles? God sent Christ, Christ is alive forevermore! "Wherever two or three are gathered together in My Name, I'll be in their midst." Amen. "Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world." There He is, His promise.” [61-1231e If God Be With Us Then Where Is All The Miracles, Jeffersonville IN]
“Presence of the Lord is here. Do you believe with all your heart? Is Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever? What is it? Believe. Act on His Word if you want to see the miracles. If God be with us where's His miracles? Here they are. Amen. God is with us. Amen. God is with us. Here's the sign that He's alive, the same thing He done before He died. He's arisen forevermore. Now, do you--are you believers? Raise your hands. Oh, my. Lay your hands on one another. Don't pray for yourself; pray for the next person. Just go to praying. Just pray, "Lord God, heal this person," the other person... That it; believe now.” [62-0124 Have Not I Sent Thee, Phoenix AZ]
